General

  1. Verve turns your everyday spend into MORE. Earn cashback from hundreds of top brands, plus discover hidden gems. Cashback is paid directly to your Monzo, Revolut, or Starling account. No loyalty card, vouchers, or discount codes required – simply search and shop at participating brands.

  2. It’s so easy, you just need to follow these simple steps:

    •   Download App – Search for Verve Cashback in App Store or Google Play
    •   Sign Up – Register by linking your Monzo, Revolut, or Starling personal or sole trader account
    •   View Participating Brands & Offers – Search available cashback offers by category or location in the app, and if applicable, click the ‘Earn Now’ button or activate the offer from its offer details page
    •   Shop & Earn – Pay using your linked Monzo, Revolut, or Starling card (however, you may use any bank for gift card purchases made through our app)
    •   Receive Cashback – Once available, cashback rolls effortlessly into your linked bank account!

    In all cases, once your bank has notified us a qualifying transaction has occurred, you will receive a notification and cashback will be added to your Verve Pending balance. You will receive another notification when cashback is paid into your linked Monzo, Revolut, and/or Starling account.

     

  3. While Verve is eager to support everyone’s cashback journey, we are currently available to Monzo, Revolut, and Starling personal banking and sole trader UK accountholders who are 18+ years of age. More banks may be coming soon!

  4. No, Verve is free to use! Free, plus cashback on everyday purchases and gift cards with hundreds of brands – what’s not to love?

  5. Brands on our platform fund their cashback offers. Each time you make a qualifying transaction with one of these brands, they pay us so we can pay you. We may receive a small commission from the brand to run the programme, keeping our cashback app free for you to use.

  6. The Verve app is available from the App Store and Google Play.

     

     

  7. Whether you have a question, want to share feedback, or need further assistance, Verve’s Customer Support team is reachable:

    • Simply send a message to contact@verve.cash, or
    • From the in-app Verve ‘Wallet’ page, by tapping ‘Contact Us’ – enter your query into the email template and submit.

     

    Either way, our Customer Support team will respond as soon as possible to address your query or begin investigating any issues. We endeavour to resolve all queries within 5 working days (Monday-Friday) upon receiving them during business hours.

Linking Accounts

  1. By linking your bank account, you will be able to view and make use of Verve’s cashback offers. Without a linked bank account, we are unable to seamlessly send you cashback earned on your qualifying purchases.

  2. For you to enjoy using Verve and receive cashback directly to your linked account, we need you to authenticate your Monzo, Revolut, and/or Starling account in the Verve app so we can access the following:
    • Transaction data to redeem and recommend offers
    • Account details to send available cashback earned
    • Contact details in case there is an issue and we need to notify/verify you

  3. We are currently available to Monzo, Revolut, and Starling accountholders. You may link only one UK personal or sole trader account per bank to your one Verve account. However, you may link a single account with any or all of the participating banks to your one Verve account.

  4. It’s quick and easy to add a bank account, please follow these steps:

    • Open your Verve app and go to the Profile page
    • Go to ‘Linked Accounts’, then click on ‘Connect another bank account’
    • Select your bank
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to link your Monzo, Revolut, or Starling account(*)
    • Once done, you will be redirected to the Verve app and can start earning cashback!

    Note: we currently only support personal and sole trader accounts; a linked Revolut bank account must be in Great British Pounds (GBP) to be eligible for cashback.

  5. We will send reminders to notify you to renew your bank account access. You are able to renew your access at any time within the Verve app – it’s quick and easy to do, simply follow these steps:

    •  Open your Verve app and go to the Profile page
    •  Select the account you’d like to renew access to (it may say ‘disconnected’)

    •  You’ll be taken to your Monzo, Revolut, or Starling banking app where you can confirm that you are happy to renew access
    •  Once done, you will be redirected back to the Verve app and can continue to enjoy earning cashback!

  6. To keep earning cashback with Verve, it’s important that you renew access to your linked bank account(s) every 90 days.

    We take data protection seriously. For compliance with the 2nd Payment Services Directive (PSD2) Regulatory and Technical Standard (RTS), we are required to have consumers re-authorise their banks to release their data for use by third-party providers (TPPs) every 90 days.

    We will send you reminder notifications when you need to do this – it’s quick and easy!

  7. Verve is currently available to Monzo, Revolut, and Starling UK-based personal banking and sole trader accounts, but we may add more banks in the future.

  8. We do not currently support joint accounts with any bank.

  9. To enjoy earning and receiving cashback with Verve, you need to have at least one linked bank account.

    If you have more than one bank account linked and wish to remove one, follow the steps below:
    •  Open your Verve app and go to the Profile page
    •  Under ‘Linked Accounts’ you will see your connected bank account(s)
    •  Swipe to the left on the bank account you wish to remove
    •  Tap the red ‘Delete’ button that appears on the righthand side
    •  This bank account will then be removed

  10. If you encounter difficulties linking your bank account to Verve, please check the following:

    •  Ensure the Verve app and your banking provider’s app are updated to the latest version
    •  Ensure you have an active Wi-Fi or network connection
    •  You are attempting to connect a supported bank or account type. Verve currently support Monzo, Revolut, and Starling personal or sole trader accounts; we do not support joint or non-UK bank accounts.

  11. We want you to have the best cashback experience with Verve, and would be sorry to see you leave the Verve community. However, if you still want to delete your account, here’s how:

    • Simply go to the ‘Profile’ page in the Verve app, where you will find a ‘Delete account’ button. Once you click this delete button, your accounts will be unlinked immediately and we will no longer receive any of your data nor can award any cashback
    • For Starling Bank accounts, in addition to the above steps, you’ll also need to go in to the ‘Manage’ section of the Marketplace inside the Starling app and manually unlink Verve as we do not have control to delete what appears within their app.

Offers

  1. Verve makes earning cashback effortless. To earn cashback, simply:
    •  Link your preferred bank account(s)
    •  View all of our amazing cashback offers – search by brand or browse our categories
    •  Spend on  your linked bank account card(s) with participating brands – no need for vouchers or discount codes
    •  Watch your Verve cashback balance roll in!

    Some offers may require activation or have specific terms and conditions, e.g., minimum spend required; not adhering to these conditions may result in ineligibility of cashback. Similarly, for offers with an ‘Earn Now’ button on the Verve offer page, you must click through, accept cookies and make your purchase in a browser (not in the brand’s mobile app).

  2. Some brands want to ensure that if they reward your purchase, it’s because you’ve actually seen the offer. This button helps us prove you have. It’s also a great way for you to indicate what brands interest you.

     

    Activated Offers show in your ‘Wallet’ page along with timings by which the offer needs to be redeemed by making a purchase. Usage timeframes vary by offer; please review to ensure you don’t miss out on any cashback.

    • If an offer isn’t redeemed, it will either need to be re-activated from its offer details page for use, or may no longer be valid so will no longer be shown in-app.
    • If you redeem an activated offer, it will need to be re-activated for a future purchase if terms allow, or may no longer show if it’s a single-use offer.

     

    As always, purchases will be reflected in your ‘Wallet’ page under ‘View History’ with their ‘Pending’ or ‘Paid’ cashback status.

  3. It’s just another way for you to earn more cashback on your everyday spending. We track your purchase activity through the ‘Earn Now’ button, so ensure you complete your purchase in the same session. From a brand’s offer page, click the ‘Earn Now’ button which will navigate you to the brand’s website. Click ‘allow cookies’ if prompted to enable us to track your visit, and remember to disable any VPN or ad blockers as well as spend in a browser, not in the brand’s mobile app.

    You’ll receive a notification that your purchase successfully tracked and confirm the amount of cashback earned.

  4. Once you have made a qualifying purchase, you’ll receive a notification confirming the amount of cashback earned. Allow app notifications for regular updates. All qualifying transactions are shown on the in-app ‘Wallet’ page with their respective status.

  5. If you shopped at one of our participating brands but cannot see the transaction in your Verve ‘Wallet’ page, check the following:

    • You made the purchase with a linked card, and your linked bank account connection has not expired. If your account access expires, we are unable to track your transactions to award cashback.
    • The offer was active while you shopped – sometimes offers can expire or cashback rates change.
    • If applicable, you clicked the ‘Earn Now’ button on the Verve offer page, allowed cookies and made your purchase through a browser (not the brand’s mobile app).
    • You satisfied all the relevant offer conditions – these vary per offer and can be found on each offer page in the Verve app.

    If there seems to be a different issue, click on the ‘Missing Cashback?’ button (found on the offer page) and our Customer Support Team will be in touch. When you tell us, it helps us identify more qualifying transactions across the Verve community – so everyone gets MORE cashback! Cashback can be claimed through the ‘Missing Cashback’ button for up to 30 days after the date of your purchase.

    Alternatively, you can contact our Customer Support Team at contact@verve.cash with the email subject ‘Did not receive cashback’, and the following details:

    • Your full name;
    • The email you use to sign into the Verve app;
    • The name of the brand where you made a purchase; and,
    • The date and time of the purchase.
  6. Cashback rates are decided by brands based on their individual goals and consumer audiences. We do our utmost to negotiate the best cashback offers for our Verve community to make it the most rewarding it can be! The more users and activity on our platform, the better the cashback rates we can negotiate.

  7. Verve’s cashback offers are currently only available on UK purchases. If you make purchases with participating brands in locations outside the UK, these transactions will be ineligible for cashback. This may change in the future.

Receiving Cashback

  1. Qualifying cashback amounts greater than £1 are paid directly into your linked Monzo, Revolut, or Starling account. While Verve aims to pay cashback as quickly as possible, the length of time this takes varies by brand and their individual policies. Please note that Verve can only pay out cashback once funds are received from brands themselves.

    Any cashback amounts less than £1 will be carried over until your available cashback balance is £1 or more. You can view this balance on the ‘Wallet’ page in the Verve app.

  2. When we get paid by brands, you get paid. Cashback is paid directly into your linked Monzo, Revolut, or Starling account, with an email and notification sent to inform you, if you have them turned on. You can also check cashback status in the ‘Wallet’ page of the Verve app.

  3. How quickly cashback is paid varies by brand depending on their individual policies. Using the information they provide, we suggest an estimated pay-out date in the Verve ‘Wallet’ page. If this date has passed and you haven’t received your cashback, the date will be updated to the next eligible pay-out date or until we receive the relevant funds from the brand to pay you.

  4. Sometimes the status of a ‘Pending’ cashback transaction may change to ‘Declined’ in the ‘Wallet’ page of the Verve app. The most likely reason for this is that the transaction has been declined by the brand, or that the brand is no longer in partnership with Verve, meaning we will not receive the cashback funds. Rest assured we try to minimise these occurrences, and if we’re able to resolve, will make you whole for any eligible cashback.

  5. We endeavour to pay cashback as quickly as possible, but sometimes things take a little longer. If your cashback has not yet been paid, this could be for a number of reasons:

    •  Your available cashback balance is less than £1 – we pay cashback on available balances greater than £1
    •  Your transaction has been declined by the brand or Verve – perhaps due to a partial or full refund/return, offer eligibility criteria, not activating the offer or clicking ‘Earn Now’ and following instructions, or brands ceasing operations as examples
    •  A brand may not have paid Verve in the expected payment period

    If you are concerned about a specific transaction, please allow us to investigate by emailing contact@verve.cash, including as much detail about your purchase as possible (e.g., date, approximate time, amount, etc.).

Gift Cards

  1. Verve makes buying gift cards effortless:

    • From the Verve app navigation bar, go to ‘Gift Cards’
    • To view our selection, scroll or search by brand and category
    • Choose your preferred brand and enter the denomination you want to purchase – some brands require fixed denominations or have minimum spend amounts, which will be specified
    • View the amount of cashback this purchase will give you
    • Check all details are correct and choose your payment method
    • Follow on-screen instructions to finalise payment with your preferred bank – you do not have to pay with your linked Monzo, Revolut, or Starling account to receive cashback
    • Congratulations! Your purchased gift card will be added to your Verve ‘Wallet’ and available for use – shop anytime, anywhere!

    Please review all Gift Card Terms and Conditions before purchasing; these can be found on a brand’s gift card page, along with redemption instructions when made available to us through our supplier. Gift Card Terms and Conditions vary by brand.

  2. Verve are thrilled to have gift cards from 100+ brands available to purchase. Be sure to check our app regularly for new additions and current cashback rates.

    To view all available gift cards, visit the ‘Gift Cards’ tab from the navigation bar in the Verve app.

  3. After selecting a brand gift card and entering your preferred denomination, gift cards can be purchased from any bank shown under ‘Choose your bank’. You do not have to use your linked Monzo, Revolut, or Starling account in order to receive cashback on gift card purchases. However, we do not currently support ApplePay, GooglePay, or other third-party wallets, e.g. PayPal; this may change in the future.

  4. Purchasing a gift card through Verve allows you to earn even MORE cashback!

    • Choose your gift card and enter the denomination you want to purchase – each brand has a specified cashback rate.
    • View the amount of cashback this purchase will give you.
    • Purchase your gift card.
    • Cashback will immediately be added to your ‘Lifetime Savings’ and your purchased gift card will appear in the ‘Gift Cards’ tab in the ‘Wallet’ page.
    • Cashback will then be paid to your Monzo, Revolut, or Starling linked bank account in line with our terms.

     

    You do not have to use your linked Monzo, Revolut, or Starling account in order to receive cashback on gift card purchases. However, you must have a linked Monzo, Revolut, or Starling Bank personal banking or sole trader account to receive cashback to your account.

  5. Each gift card brand has a specified cashback rate. After entering your desired denomination of gift card, the total cashback you would receive displays. Once you’ve completed your gift card purchase, the cashback you have earned will be added to your ‘Lifetime Savings’ and will be shown in ‘Gift Card’ tab in the ‘Wallet’ page.

  6. Verve has partnered with Tillo, one of the UK’s leading gift card providers, to ensure you have the most rewarding gift card experience!

  7. We’ve partnered with Truelayer, one of Europe’s leading open banking payments networks, to provide you with a secure and easy way to pay for gift cards. They are registered with the Information Commission’s Office (ICO), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and Confederation of British Industry (CBI).

  8. Once you’ve successfully purchased a gift card, open the Verve app and head to your ‘Wallet’ page. Tap ‘Gift Cards’ to view your purchased gift cards.

  9. No, physical gift cards are not available. All of our gift cards are delivered digitally in the Verve app, stored conveniently in the ‘Wallet’ page for use whenever you shop – whether in-store, online or in a brand’s app.

  10. Verve will show whether a gift card can be spent in-store, online, or both in the individual gift card pages. Gift Card Terms and Conditions vary by brand so we recommend reviewing before purchasing.

    • If you are shopping online or in a brand’s app, follow instructions for using a gift card at checkout.
    • If you are shopping in-store, find the gift card code from the digital gift card in your ‘Wallet’ page, then scan the code from your phone at the till.
  11. Not every gift card provides an updated balance as you spend. We recommend keeping track of your gift card balance and usage, and if you have any queries please contact the brand directly.

    For brands that do provide a balance check, open the Verve app, navigate to the ‘Wallet’ page and select ‘Gift Cards’. From the list of your available gift cards, select the gift card for the balance check. For security, you will be asked to authenticate before the screen will display your remaining gift card balance amongst its other details. Not all brands provide us with a balance check; in these cases, please get in touch with them directly.

  12. The expiration date of gift cards will vary by brand. You can check important information, such as your gift card’s expiration date, in the individual Gift Card’s Terms and Conditions and when redeeming your gift card.

  13. Sorry, not at this time, but that may change in the future.

  14. Some gift cards can be added to your Apple or Android Wallet for convenience. To do this, simply tap ‘Add to Wallet’ icon when you access your gift card.

    This feature is only available on certain gift cards; refer to the brand’s specific Gift Card Terms and Conditions.

  15. Currently gift cards are available for personal use only; this may change in the future. Once you purchase a gift card, treat it as you would handle cash. Verve, Tillo, nor the brand are liable for lost or stolen gift cards.

  16. You may cancel a gift card purchase at any time prior to authorising funds from your bank. Otherwise, all gift card purchases are final and non-refundable.

  17. We’re sorry to hear you’re having difficulties with your gift card. As each brand has unique Gift Card Terms and Conditions and/or instructions, please get in touch with the gift card brand. Before doing so, we recommend checking the common reasons a gift card may not work:

    •  Activation issues: if you’ve only just purchased your gift card, it might still be activating.
    •  Balance update: check your gift card’s remaining balance – it may have been fully redeemed or have insufficient funds for your current purchase.
    •  Eligible items: Certain items may not be purchased with a gift card.
    •  Store or Location issues: Stores may be experience issues with their payment systems – we recommend waiting or trying another store location where possible.
    •  Usage limitations: Some gift cards are restricted to online or in-store use only – this information can be found on the brand’s gift card purchase page in the Verve app.
    •  Website issues: the brand may be experiencing technical issues or high levels of website traffic – we recommend trying to complete your purchase again later.
